Activities at Panguitch Lake
Panguitch Lake is the largest lake on Cedar Mountain at 1,234 surface acres and up to 50 feet deep when full. There are boats available for rent and excellent trail riding in the area. The National Forest surrounding the Panguitch Lake area is one of the most sought after trophy elk ranges in the state. Horsback riding is also a popular activity in the area and horses can be rented at the Panguitch Lake Resort (435) 676-2657.
Georges Bike Shop in Brian Head (435) 677-2013 rents out mountain Bikes and will drop you off at the Peak of the mountain and pick you up at the Burger Barn at Panguitch Lake. If you are looking for a more relaxed time that is what Panguitch Lake is best known for. There is much less private property at Panguitch Lake and so there are fewer people running around and more animals to watch.
