Winter Acitivities in Southern UtahSouthern Utah is home to excellent snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and even cross country skiing and hiking. Brian Head Ski Resort is only 3 hours drive from Las Vegas. Brian Head offers beginner and intermediate slopes. The skiing at Brian Head is nice because the lines are never too long and on the weekdays you can have wide open spaces. At Brian Head you can rent equipment for skiing and snowboarding, snowbikes, and there is tubing. Snowmobiles can be rented in town and there are some great trails and scenery around the Cedar Breaks Monument in the winter. Ice fishing is another popular activity in the winter time. Trout are still active in the winter and if you know where to look there are some great areas to catch lots of fish through the ice. Panguitch Lake, Otter Creek, Fish Lake and other lakes in the area can have good fishing in the winter. Check your local fishing Proclamation for rules and regulations. Go Back<-<-<- |
