    Cedar City and Parowan have plenty of activities for all ages. Just to name a few things to pass the time we have a Tony Award winning Shakespearean Festival (visit bard.org for more info), the Cedar Ridge Golf Course, Bowling, movie theaters, miniature golf, a skate park, Discovery Adventure Park, museums, shooting ranges, and plenty of parks and ball fields. If horseback riding is your thing we have plenty of opportunities for you. Many locals enjoy coming out and supporting local sports teams including our SUU thunderbirds. There is a Gold's Gym among other workout facilities for those of you who like to stay in shape.
    Activities that locals enjoy more than anything are the beautiful mountains. Our mountains tower to over 11,000 ft. elevation and offer skiing, mountain biking, atv trails, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing and hunting. Brian Head Ski Resort is only minutes away. Elk, deer, wild turkery, pronghorn antelope, mountain sheep, mountain lions, and bears are all some of the favorite big game for our local hunters. Streams and lakes abound and provide excellent trout fishing. Cedar Mountain offers hundreds of miles of mountain biking opportunites and was rated in the top ten of the world for mountain biking by major mountain biking publications. Cedar City is used by many people as a starting point to visit all of the nearby National Parks and Monuments such as Zion, Cedar Breaks, Bryce, Kolob, Grand Staircase, Capital Reef, Arches, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and other natural treasures of the area. If you can think of it, we probably has it.
